Temple Square

Last year we didn't get a chance to go to Temple Square, and see the lights, so I wanted to make sure we did this year. Saturday afternoon we braved the snow and went to SLC! I'm glad we live so close. We got there a couple hours before the lights came on, and we were able to visit the visitor centers, Assembly Hall, Tabernacle and the Beehive House. It was a fun family outing.

As we put up the Christmas decorations last week, Lizzy put this together all by herself! I was so amazed at how organized it was. The sky, grass and stable were already on, but she placed the stars, birds, people, and animals!

Halloween

Lizzy was able to dress up twice on Halloween. First she was a princess, then later we went to her cousins, and she decided to where a Tinker Bell costume. This was the first year that we took her door to door. She was excited to go!

Jamie was in town (from Florida, for a wedding) for a few days with her family. We had a fun time visiting and going to the Canyon.

Blackfoot, Id

Well, this is a few weeks late, but I wanted to include a few pictures from our trip to Idaho for Hannah's Blessing. We had a fun time visiting with family and friends. Lizzy was so excited to see her cousins.

Rice Crispy Treats

Yesterday we were playing with some friends in the ward and in the apartment complex, and they had some Rice Crispy treats. Lizzy really liked them, so I decided we should make some today. We had everything, expect for Marshmallows, so while we were out I picked some up. Lizzy loved helping.

Lizzy update

I had to make a post of all the funny/cute things Lizzy has been saying. She’s talking so much better and in sentences, it’s so cute. It doesn’t really flow, but it’s more so I have a record of it as well! I hope you enjoy!

On Saturday, we saw some fireworks from our balcony, and Lizzy said "Kylie, Josh, Garrett" (her cousins whom she last saw fireworks with). She said "Mommy no” with a scared look, and then said “I said that" recalling what she did last time she saw fire works during the 4th of July. She was okay this time, because they were farther away. She also named the colors of the fireworks as they went off.

Lizzy is playing more by herself, which has been nice, because I've been working more. She plays with her stuffed animals and dolls. She puts ideas together, like saying: “The baby is cold” and gets a blanket for her baby doll, or “Baby hungry” and gets the bottle for the baby doll. On Sunday she laid out a blanket, put her stuffed animals on it, and reading to them. When she was done with one book she asked “another book, okay” and got one from her room, it was so cute. I wished I had a video of that!

Last week after John did a U-turn she asked, “Daddy, are you crazy?” and now she likes to say “daddy crazy driver.” Or “mommy crazy driver”
She peeks under the bathroom door and says. “daddy, I can see your toes”
She likes to say, “I see you” in the mirror, or behind the shower curtain and “Look at me,”
“Come on, I’m ready” and even motions with her hand to come.
“I don’t like it” or “I like it”
When we are driving and get close to the house she says “no home” – she likes to go shopping – and ride in the “fun” carts, and push the small cart and Smiths.
She says “look, fun” when she sees something she thinks is fun. She loves to point out the waterslides “wawaslide”… she’s been doing this before they even opened.

Almost every time I ask her “Who taught you that?” her response is “Eva” (my sister) It’s mostly when she’s singing or saying something and I can’t understand what she is saying. Sometimes it’s things she does. So we like to ask her this a lot now to see what she’ll say. I think she may have caught on, and is humoring us… she already knows how to tease. Oh, and she loves to be tickled!

She recognized letters and when we are driving around town she’ll say “mommy I see letters”. Her favorites to point out are “M”, “W” I have several BYU t-shirts and she says “BYU” – which is when I first realized she actually knew her letters. She also knows and likes to point and say “Costco”, “I see temple”, “church”

She likes to count too. Mostly pointing out when there is two of something. She even recognizes the number 2 and 5. She can count to ten, almost. She has a harder time with 1-5, but when she gets to 5 she has no problem, which I think is funny… She likes to say 1,3,2,1.
I love my little girl, who is growing up fast! Every time I think I’m ready to post this, I think of another thing I think is “so cute” although it’s much different when you read it and see it in person! I’m glad we’ll get to see more family on both sides next month!

New Niece, Seven Peaks & Fair

Wow, it's been over a month since my last post. A lot has happened, the most exciting is John & Eric officially opening their office and the birth of Hannah Rylee Bingham.

On Friday, July 31st I got a call close to midnight that my sister Sara was in labor, nearly 3 weeks sooner then expected! I was so excited for her I couldn't go back to sleep. In the morning we heard she had the baby at 2:50am, 6lb, 6 oz. 19 3/4 inches. We decided to drive up to the hospital in Pocatello, only about 2.25 hours north. Lizzy loved holding her cousin, and kept saying Sara's baby. We had fun being able to spend time with her and take some pictures for everyone to see, and even Skype. Congratulations to Sara and TJ.

The past two Fridays Lizzy and I were able to go to Seven Peaks (a waterslide park in Provo) with my SIL Stephanie and her kids. It's been so much fun I decided to get a season pass, it was only $20 for the rest of this season, if I got a pass for next season. I hope we will get to use it! Lizzy loves playing with her cousins & her aunt Stephanie too. Lizzy likes the Lazy River and the kid areas... she is not a big fan of the wave pool, when it's going. I even took Lizzy on a big waterslide (called Flash Flood) with me yesterday and she liked it! Maybe next time I will take the Camera.

Today we went to the county fair. Lizzy loved the pony ride, and got to go on a pony ride. Lizzy kept asking to ride the pony again and again. We got some kettle corn, and that distracted her until we left. I think the video was too big :( ... so here is a picture.

Park City

It has been a fun and busy week. We got home from California on Monday night. On Wednesday John's parents and brother's family came into town. We went to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House, it was beautiful.

The girls went shopping while boys stayed at the house and watched the kids. It was nice for Tiffany & I to go shopping without the kids! We headed out to Park City that afternoon. We had alot of fun swimming, relaxing, fishing and hiking. On the 3rd we got to watch the fireworks from our balcony! On the 4th we went all went to see "Transformers 2" and went to the outlets in Park City... I had no idea there were so many stores! That night we went to Stephanie & Nathans house for a BBQ and we did some of our own fireworks. It was a fun time with family. Lizzy really enjoys her cousins, and it was fun watching her interact with them over the weekend.

This week will be another busy one, as John & Eric work on the finishing touches to get the doors open for the business! The carpet was installed today, the x-ray machine is coming tomorrow, and the furniture is coming on Wednesday! We have been waiting a long time for this and it's exciting that they will be open next week!

Trip to California

John had a seminar in California, so Lizzy & I went along to visit my family. Lizzy loves spending time with family. We went to the Farmers Market/Swap Meet and found "The Lion King" and "Beauty and the Beast" on VHS for a $1 each. So I got them for Lizzy. She loves to watch "The Lion King." We had a fun trip.
