Happy 4th Birthday Lizzy!

Where has the time gone? Lizzy turned 4 today!! We went to the store and picked out a cake mix, frosting and sprinkles! She wanted to helped make the cake too. We had not setup a birthday party for her and I was planning on calling up some friends and just doing a casual thing at the park with cake, and letting the kids play this Saturday, but Lizzy really wanted to have cake today with her friends. So after we made the cake we called a few people and shared the cake out in the park/common area of the apartment complex.

Lizzy wanted shrimp for dinner. We went to one of our favorite Thai Restaurants, Simply Thai. She was very happy with her shrimp appetizer! There were a couple other people there that had birthdays, and when she saw what they brought out for them, she was really excited! After the meal they brought a scoop of coconut ice cream with a sparkler and little umbrella... she loved it! When we got home she opened her present:

A fishing pole, tackle box and sunglasses!

She has been practicing her casing all night! She loves going fishing with Dad ... and can't wait to go... probably tomorrow after John get's home from work!

Here are some pictures from last week when they went fishing

Easter and more

The Saturday before Easter John took the day off. Lizzy loved spending time with Dad. We started the morning by going to the city Easter Egg hunt - which was packed! There was only one road in and out... traffic was really bad getting here. (we took off right after, so it wasn't that bad when we left). The hunt was split up into age groups, so Lizzy was in the 1-3 group. They were telling the parents that only kids were allowed in the circle... so we told Lizzy to go towards the middle of the circle and get the eggs, and we'll stay in the same spot, so she could find us after. The fire truck siren went off, about 10 minutes late, and the kids went running, and then the parents! Everything was picked up in about a minute or two! I couldn't see Lizzy anymore and it was kinda scary. Luckily John was able to go in and find her quick!

We also had a picnic lunch at a park.

Lizzy wearing my sweatshirt! Too cute, I had to take a picture.
On another note... James Thomas loves to move! I don't remember Lizzy moving around this much! At my last appointment the midwife said it feels like his head is down, and his butt is really high up. I'm measuring right on track. Time has gone by fast, and we have a lot going on... so I think the time will continue to go fast. Lizzy's last week of preschool is the same week I'm due! It'll be an interesting time... hard to plan much of anything during that time, we have several backup options!
