Montana

Last weekend we took a trip to Montana to visit with family. We picked up Sara and Hannah on the way! Most of the pictures I got were of Hannah and Elizabeth. Just about all of us got th 24 bug at some point during or after the trip, but we did get to enjoy a breakfast at Cracker Barrel, a dinner at Famous Daves, wonderful meals at Goldies, grocery shopping, visiting with my mom, grandma, aunt, and cousins families.

We had to stop by Reeds Dairy on the way to and from Montana for some ice cream! We had grill cheese sandwiches from there on the way home - so good!
Sharing the crib - at least for the picture

It's a Boy!

It's been a few weeks, but we found out that we are having a Boy!! The due has changed a little, from the end of May to June 8th! Today it felt like he had the hiccups... there was constant movement. So I called Lizzy and John cover to come feel, and they both were able to feel him move! It was so exciting for Lizzy! I love being able to feel him move around!
Here are some ultrasound pictures:

Lizzy loves to talk to the baby daily! She loves to tell people about having a baby brother, and his name is going to be James Thomas... at least that is the plan right now. We have liked that name before we knew Lizzy was going to be a girl. We are thinking we will call him JT.

Lizzy is doing very well in preschool and she amazes me at the things she can do. She loves to play on the computer... a little too much. I'll go to the Nick Jr. Website and go to the games area. She likes to play the games, and watch the videos on there. I'm glad most of the games are educational. She loves to count, sing, dance, "help", type letters/names, etc. She really wants to type this right now. So here it is:

she loves to push the letter after I say it. Lizzy Cheney Elizabeth Tina daddy Cheney baby James

She wanted to type names of cousins, aunts and uncles, but we need to get ready for bed!
More updates later.

December 2010

December was a busy month. Lizzy had her preschool program. It was so cute to watch the 3 year olds sing the Christmas songs.

We went to visit family for the holidays. We spent Christmas Eve with John's family. We stopped in Oakdale for breakfast, it was so good! Then we found a great spot to play and sled in Pinecrest. After we went to David & Tiffany's for dinner, gifts, and hanging out.

Christmas Day was spent at the Rankin's. We had fun watching the kids bring gifts to everyone, and watching them opened their gifts! I was kinda out of it that that morning... Most of the trip I didn't do much, which was nice, but I felt tired all day! Lizzy got a princess art kit, play doll & dog, Dora Wii game, Candyland, Chutes & Ladders, a hat, Bugs Life, books, coloring books, and a few other things I'm forgetting right now. We ending up leaving most of our gifts at my parents, because we didn't have room to bring them back! We are going in a few weeks again. We brought my brother back with us, and he started back up at BYU!

We were able to visit with one of my best friends & her family on Sunday. We missing being close, but it was nice to visit for the evening.

We visited with the Evans later that week. They got Lizzy a Mrs. Potato Head - she loves it! We also got to see the Lights at Dell Osso Farms. Lizzy feel asleep on the way there... so we had to wake her up when we got there. She loved all the lights and saying what each object was. She liked the moving lights - snowman and Santa waving. Then at the end there was a tunnel of lights.

I put together a smilebox, I'm hope it works okay. There were so many pictures and video clips I wanted to share, this seemed like the best way!

November 2010

John & Eric had an other Expo in November
and they also did a food drive - they collected a lot of food for the Utah Food Bank!
Stephanie’s baby blessing was at the beginning of the month. It was nice to finally meet Carter! He was born in October, and John had seen him, but Lizzy and I had minor colds and didn’t want a chance getting the baby sick. (I can't believe I didn't take any pictures!)

Lizzy got a lot of clothes when we went to Stephanie’s (good thing about having a cousin close in age and proximity) We have not had to buy very many clothes for Lizzy. When we got home Lizzy took out all the clothes and shoes from the bags and wanted to try stuff on! We have also been listening to music on the TV… and she’s been doing somersaults.

John’s parents were in town for Thanksgiving at his sister’s house. Then we went to John’s grandparents 70th Wedding anniversary the next day! It was a lot of fun. We went to Park City with John’s sisters after the anniversary party. I was worried about my morning sickness, but it was actually the first time since I got sick that I didn’t throw-up for two days! We have started to realize stress has been a factor, and when I don’t have to worry about what to eat, cleaning, etc. I don’t get sick!

My brother William Michael came home from his Mission on Thanksgiving day! We were able to talk & Skype! It's nice to have him closer now that he's at BYU!

Table decorations at the anniversary party

Park City - kids dancing - xbox 360 connect. They played for hours, it was a great hit!
Braved the snow to enjoy the hot tub... crazy part was that they actually got out and rolled in the snow!
Lizzy went too fast, and I only got her running in the snow!
After they warmed up by the fire!
We had a lot of fun, especially Lizzy! It had been a while since she had seen her cousins and it's nice to have other people she can play with.

October 2010

We went to the dollar store and found these cute stickers to put on the wall.
Lizzy was so excited!
Lizzy has loved taking pictures with my camera when ever she gets the chance. I usually delete most of the pictures, but something about this one I really liked! This is the bear that my mom got for me/Lizzy when I was in the hospital having Lizzy!

In October John had a birthday! We didn't do much, but I did take a pregnancy test that morning, and it was positive! I had taken one the week before, and the second line (positive) was very light... so I decided to take another, and this time the line was much darker!! We are expecting baby #2 to arrive late May, early June 2011! Here are a couple pictures from his birthday... Lizzy loves birthdays!

The big event of October was Ladies night for the office. This year we rented the space across the Hall from the office and we had about 20 vendors. It was a lot of work, but a lot of fun too! I'm glad John's mom was able to come and help up! Here are a few pictures:

Halloween - this year we went to look for a costume a couple times. The first time we got a Snow White outfit, but when we got it home and tried it on.. it just didn't work. So I took it back and didn't like anything at Wal-Mart, so we went to Target and picked out this bee outfit. I was worried about going too late to get a costume, but I'm glad I waited because it was on sale! I also got the black shirt that is under it, and it was cheaper than the Snow White costume! I already had the black pants & shoes, so this outfit worked much better in the cooler weather! We went to the mall for trick or treating, and then walked around our ward neighborhood. Lizzy loved it! We still (in Jan) have a lot of candy left over. She filled a gallon size ziplock of candy! She's been really good about not asking for it, and has pretty much forgotten about it now.

September 2010

After the amazing Family reunion John had several events that "The Specific" had a booth. The Earthwell Festival in Park City and a healthy Draper event. Lizzy loves to visit dad at the "expos".
Healthy Draper

Earthwell - signing up people for exams

The Batmobile - at the Earthwell Festival

Outlets in Park City - place with a few rides, Lizzy loved it

We also have enjoyed going to a great shop near John's office for lunch meetings. I had to take a picture of Lizzy eating this huge sandwich!

Lizzy has really started to play well by herself. She also cleans up, without being asked. After she eats something messy she’ll wash her hands and face usually… and she’ll even change her shirt if she spills on it. I heard her in the bathroom one day and this is what I found!

Billington Reunion

Labor Day weekend we had a lot of fun in Montana! We love spending time at my Aunts place in the woods! There were estimated 100 plus people there, and it was great to meet new relatives, and see some we had not seen for about 20 years! We had people from Alaska to New York come join the fun! Lizzy loved playing with all the cousins and being able to just run around.

One of her new things... blinking and winking..
Aunt Goldie bought a small tee-pee that the children put their hand prints on.. they loved it.
Great Uncle Jack brought a saddle so people could take pictures on one...

Group picture on Saturday.

Band we had Sat night - Blue Grass Band
Face painting.. Lizzy loved the horse - Sara did a great job!
Lizzy eating a s'more!
The first night Hali and Lizzy were so excited to see each other, I think we were up until 2am! The girls slept in this crib, it was so cute.
Becca & Aaron brought up their ATV - so we had some fun! Again Lizzy loved this!!! She kept wanting to go on rides with Aaron and Dad... All three of us got to go for a ride!
